Continuing education seminars to benefit local chiropractic associations

Chiropractic Economics Staff April 3, 2015

seminarApril 3, 2015 — Breakthrough Coaching is hosting its 2015 Continuing Education Symposium in partnership with Foot Levelers to benefit the state chiropractic associations in three locations. The seminars will feature world class speakers including the following doctors of chiropractic:

  • Mark Sanna
  • Terry and Alicia Yochum
  • Brian Jensen
  • Tim Maggs
  • Jeff Lewin
  • Morgan Mullican
  • Jay Kennedy

Each seminar is filled with practical information that can be applied in clinical practice immediately. The seminars begin on Friday evenings with 2.5 CEUs of Active Care Protocols.

According to Sanna, the company’s CEO: “Chiropractors must learn to incorporate rehabilitation programs into their plan of care that emphasize the use of therapeutic exercise to restore joint range of motion, muscle strength, neuromuscular coordination, and gait mechanics.”

Saturday will be packed with practice building and profitability sessions.

“Chiropractic reimbursement will be radically transformed in the next two years,” said Lewin, a featured prebreakthroughcoachingsenter. “The increased use of electronic health records combined with the new ICD-10 code set and new payment models will rock the world of reimbursement.”

In his session “The Future of Reimbursement: EHR, ICD-10, Big Data & Beyond,” Lewin will teach chiropractors how to use these trends to their advantage and control their reimbursement destiny.

The seminars will also feature the father-and-daughter team of Terry and Alicia Yochum. In their all-new presentation, based upon the latest research, they will teach chiropractors how to apply the tools of diagnostic imaging to foot pronation and its impact on biomechanics.

Mullican, a senior coach at Breakthrough Coaching, will focus on spreading the word about your business. “When it comes to marketing your practice, one of the biggest hurdles that you’ll face is overcoming inertia in order to get yourself to start moving in the right direction,” Mullican said. In his session, chiropractors will learn how to automate their practice’s social media posts, link social media accounts, and how to create synergy between online and offline marketing strategies.

On Sunday morning, Jensen will teach chiropractors how to go beyond condition-based care by correlating the early teachings about the subluxation complex with some of the latest technological advances in the profession.

Kennedy, the developer of the Kennedy Decompression Technique, will give an introduction to his technique to practitioners who want to learn how to become experts in the application of this increasingly mainstream therapy.

The events will be held at the following locations at times:

  • Gulfport, Mississippi from May 1–3
  • Dallas from June 26–28
  • Orlando, Florida from Nov. 13–15.

Continuing Education Credits are provided by New York Chiropractic College with up to 10 CEUs available where applicable. Registration is $199 per practice with a 10 percent early registration discount available. All proceeds will benefit the local State Chiropractic Association. Chiropractors interested in registering can call 800-723-8423.
