Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted thousands of doctors of chiropractic and their support staff from March 20-22 for Parker Seminars: Ascend.
The extraordinary three-day experience took place at the Caesars Forum Event Center, where DCs, chiropractic assistants and other industry insiders heard from speakers, attended workshops and checked out the latest trends in the packed Expo Center.
Among the crowd were sales and editorial team members from Chiropractic Economics magazine, a longtime Parker Seminars Ascend sponsor. The magazine’s Expo Center booth, featuring a sleek and modern design, was a popular destination for Parker-goers to stop and chat with the team. Several friends of Chiropractic Economics dropped in to say hi, including Foot Levelers founder Kent Greenawalt and president Jamie Greenawalt, F4CP president Sherry McAllister, EMBODI Health founder Jay Greenstein, Infinedi CEO Brad Cost and KMC University’s Kathy Weidner, to name a few.
Janice Long, senior account strategist at Chiropractic Economics, has attended close to 25 Parker Seminars Las Vegas events, and believes Ascend was among the best.
This year, Ascend “raised the bar on tradeshows, creating a high-energy event with a fantastic lineup of speakers and new products and vendors,” Long said.
With a world-class lineup of visionary speakers in the areas of business, human performance, leadership, healthcare and technology, this year’s “Ascend—Innovate, Empower, Transform” theme showcased modern healthcare practices and technology, as well as speakers who empower, motivate and energize. Speakers included author Jay Shetty, neuroscientist Andrew Huberman, industry advisor Angela Duckworth, marketing expert Gary Vaynerchuk, master of client-centric view Richard Harris and author Gabrielle Lyon.

“Parker Seminars seamlessly blended innovation with tradition, offering cutting-edge insights from visionary leaders across healthcare, tech and business,” said Creighton Blanchard, national sales manager at Chiropractic Economics. “The atmosphere was electric, filled with forward-thinking professionals eager to transform their practices and the industry at large.”
The show had a lot of valuable insights to offer marketers, as well. “Attending is a remarkable opportunity for us to connect with industry leaders and strengthen our commitment to the chiropractic profession,” said Nick Doyle, area president at Gallagher, which publishes Chiropractic Economics. “This event allows us to stay at the forefront of industry trends and continue to provide tailored marketing solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
Since 1951, Parker Seminars has hosted hundreds of seminars across the globe and trained thousands of DCs and chiropractic assistants.
Awards for the industry’s best and brightest
During the 2025 seminar, several professionals were recognized for notable contributions to the chiropractic industry, including Patient of the Year BJ Keepers, Chiropractic Assistant of the Year Raul Garcia and DC of the Year Richard Brown. Bobby Doscher, DC, received the Heroes and Legends Award for her work with Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center, and Lisa Goodman, DC, received the WCWC Women in Leadership Award.

Chiropractor of the Year
Richard Brown, DC, received the Chiropractor of the Year Award. During this special award ceremony at Caesars Forum, the audience of more than 4,600 DCs, students, educators and industry leaders viewed a presentation covering Brown’s commitment to global leadership and frontline care, as well as his work at the NHS Clinic, where he continues to practice part-time.
Brown has dedicated his life to advancing the chiropractic profession worldwide. As the Secretary-General of the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC), his leadership has had a profound international impact, promoting unity, raising standards and advocating for chiropractic. Brown has exemplified his unwavering commitment to doctors, students, educators and patients. He is retiring from his position as Secretary-General at the WFC, and during the seminar, Bradley Beira, DC, was announced as the organization’s next Secretary-General.
“In honoring Dr. Brown, we honor a vision of chiropractic that is collaborative, inclusive and forward-thinking. His work has helped elevate the perception of chiropractic care worldwide, and his voice continues to shape the future of the profession,” Parker University and Seminars President William E. Morgan shared.

WCWC Women in Leadership Award
The WCWC, established in 1982 and dedicated to empowering DCs through scholarships, seminar grants and a supportive professional network, presented its Women in Leadership Award to Lisa Goodman, DC, a distinguished pediatric and sports DC based in Denver, Colorado. Heroes and Legends Award
Bobby Doscher, DC, received the Heroes and Legends Award for her tremendous career and outstanding contribution to the chiropractic industry.
After enduring knee surgery when she was younger, Doscher opted for chiropractic care instead of another surgery. Upon finishing chiropractic school at Palmer College, she joined Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Today, after years of dedicated service to children’s chiropractic care, Doscher is the CEO and president of Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center. Her center focuses on helping parents understand the chiropractic premise and sharing the chiropractic story through children who are restored to health. As an author, CEO, curator, speaker, teacher, trailblazer, humanitarian and doctor of chiropractic, Doscher has helped bring national and international support to the facility throughout her 40-year tenure.

Chiropractic Assistant of the Year
Parker University honored Raul Garcia with the Chiropractic Assistant of the Year award. Through his career growth journey, colleagues and peers have noted Garcia’s distinguished level of hard work, commitment and desire to learn. While demonstrating his reliability and sincere care for the patients he serves, Garcia helps hold everything together at Palmercare Chiropractic, the practice where he works.

Patient of the Year
BJ Keepers was named Patient of the Year.
In 1986, Keepers, now a retired Navy Seal captain, was doing a training rappel from a helicopter when he was knocked unconscious and fell. He experienced a grand mal seizure, a concussion, suffered from broken bones and more. Keepers was immediately sent to the emergency room, where William E. Morgan, DC, now the president of Parker University and Parker Seminars, was part of the training group that was there for medical emergencies.
Fast forward several decades, and Keepers became a patient at Parker Performance Institute (PPI). After spending only a week at PPI, Keepers was already noticing improvement. After this experience, he feels it is his job to be an example for others who have suffered from traumatic, life-altering injuries.
