Carlson Laboratories launches new eco-friendly omega-3 product

December 20, 2011 — Carlson Laboratories recently introduced EcoSmart Omega-3, as part of the new EcoSmart fish oil line.

EcoSmart Omega-3 is an eco-friendly product that is made from highly sustainable species of calamari. Calamari have short life spans, breed prolifically, and only the mature are harvested. Because of these fishing practices, this product is a certified “Friend of the Sea.”

“This is an extremely exciting new product for us,” said Kirsten Carlson, vice president of marketing. “We are proud to care for the environment, eliminate waste, and produce such a high-quality product at the same time. EcoSmart is healthy for you and healthy for our planet.”

EcoSmart Omega-3 is a versatile product, as it is available in a lemon-flavored easy-to-swallow soft gel, which provides 500 mg omega-3’s per soft gel, as well as a great-tasting lemon-flavored liquid, which provides 1,320 mg omega-3’s per teaspoonful.
