SCU faculty publish research study

Chiropractic Economics March 12, 2009

March 12, 2009 — Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) faculty members Li-Min Fu, Ju-Tzu Li, and Wen-Shuo Wu, have recently had an article titled “Randomized Controlled Trials of Acupuncture for Neck Pain: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis” accepted and published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, February 2009, 15(2): 133-145.  The objective of the study was to assess the effectiveness and efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of neck pain.

Wu, Dean of the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CAOM) at SCU, acknowledges the accomplishment of the researchers, noting that a meta-analysis is advanced scholarship which significantly contributes to the evidence base for acupuncture. Both Dr. Fu and Dr. Li are professors at CAOM at SCU.
