October 5, 2017— The medical makeover of the Utah Jazz will include the PER 2000 from Pulsed Energy Technologies.
The Jazz mark the third NBA franchise to use the PER 2000, a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy (PEMF) machine used to help athletes recover quicker from injuries. The Phoenix Suns, who recently purchased a fourth machine, and the Los Angeles Lakers are the other teams in the NBA using this technology.
Mike Elliott, who this summer was hired by the Jazz for the newly created position of vice president of performance health care, is very familiar with the Pulsed Energy Technologies machines from his 14 years with the Suns, who have been recognized as one of the best training staffs in all of sports under the direction of Head Athletic Trainer Aaron Nelson. Elliott recently hired Eric Waters, a former NBA Athletic Trainer of the Year, to be the Jazz’s new athletic trainer. Waters spent the previous 12 seasons with the Washington Wizards.
“Its exciting to see our continued growth in the professional sports industry, and we are thrilled to have the Utah Jazz as PER 2000 owners,” Pulsed Energy Technologies President and CEO Josh Silver said. “As time goes on and the PER 2000 machines are in use more and more, it builds up an overwhelming body of evidence of success from using them, to more than justify the cost. Teams, players and organizations are figuring out that when they use the PER 2000 on essentially any sports-related injury, they are going to get the player back in action faster.”
The Pulsed Energy Replenisher (PER) 2000 emits Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy (PEMF), which has been shown to have significant effects on body cells, assisting in speeding recovery and decreasing pain. The therapeutic benefits of the PER 2000 can often be felt after just one energy session. This revolutionary healing device targets the source of pain and transfers powerful magnetic energy pulses to the point of injury, no matter how long ago it occurred.
