March 2, 2012 — Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs has been formally notified of its approval for continued accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association (NCA), a regional accrediting body.
According to Logan President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, this is the first time Logan has received regional accreditation without having to provide additional required reports throughout the accreditation cycle. Logan’s next comprehensive evaluation by the HLC will not be due until 2021-2022.
The Higher Learning Commission also expanded Logan’s capacity by approving distance education delivery of its new Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance. Beginning in May 2012, this M.S. degree will be offered in a 100 percent online format as well as in the traditional campus format. Select undergraduate courses will also be offered in an online distance education format.
