July 9, 2013 — “After a grueling 10-month production schedule, Pain in America is ready to be seen,” according to award winning writer, producer, and director Don Barrett. Initial audiences will consist of educators, chiropractic students, college administrators, members of the chiropractic profession, and special guests.
The first three screenings will be held at Cleveland Chiropractic College, July 18; Southern California University of Health, July 25; and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Aug. 8. Additional screenings are currently being booked throughout the nation.
The 90-minute program will consist of an introduction by Don Barrett, a complete screening of Pain in America: The Silver Tsunami, followed by a question and answer session with Barrett and Producer Dr. June Rogers. There is no charge for attending the sneak preview, but the various venues require an RSVP as space is filling up fast.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase an autographed DVD of Pain in America and its companion 2.5-hour audio book, Pain in America: The Extended Interviews.
Those unable to attend can purchase their pre-release copies of either or both titles online at askdrjune.com.
“Pain in America is the most comprehensive documentary ever made on the subject of chiropractic. Twenty-two segments provide in-depth information on every aspect of the profession, while contributing to the show’s basic question: ‘How will America’s healthcare system cope with the needs of 79 million baby boomers retiring between 2013 and 2029?’ Initial reaction to the program can only be described as excellent,” Barrett is quoted as saying. “We expect to announce the air date of the program shortly. Generally speaking, the network will give us about 30 days notice.”
