TCC faculty member serves as chiropractor for Atlanta Falcons

Chiropractic Economics February 13, 2017

February 11, 2017—During last week’s Super Bowl festivities, one Texas Chiropractic College faculty member was given the opportunity of a lifetime.

2015 graduate of Texas Chiropractic College and current associate professor and attending clinician, Cory Mayon, DC, CCSP, ATC, LAT, LMT, CPT, CKTP, was selected to serve as the team chiropractor for the Atlanta Falcons in the days leading up to Super Bowl LI in Houston.

Mayon was contacted by the Falcons organization after direct recommendations from the RICE University Sports Medicine Team. Mayon has served as a sports chiropractor at RICE University for the past year, and was honored to represent both TCC and RICE for such an amazing event.

Mayon described the experience as “inspiring” and noted, “the atmosphere was one of excitement and focus. Everyone had their game faces on, and I was glad I could help the guys feel prepared.”

He went on to add that the “Falcons organization was very respectful and valued chiropractic care as an integral part of the sports medicine team.”

He stressed that the demeanor and class of the athletes were second to none. Overall, Dr. Mayon recounts his experience as exceptional and, like that Sunday’s game, one for the history books
