March 13, 2008 — About 200 students from Northwestern Health Sciences University joined faculty members and local chiropractors in lobbying at the state capitol in St. Paul, Minn.
Organized by the Minnesota Chiropractic Association (MCA), the day was planned to encourage legislators to revise Minnesota’s statutory language relating to the chiropractic scope of practice.
Lobbyists also asked that their representatives and senators support legislation to ban runners in Minnesota, which would make it illegal for chiropractors to hire or pay anyone who contacted a consumer who had recently experienced an automobile accident.
