December 20, 2013 — Northwestern Health Sciences University marked an historic occasion when students in the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the College of Undergraduate Health Sciences and the School of Massage Therapy graduate in a combined commencement ceremony on Dec. 14, 2013.
Also for the first time, 10 chiropractic students completed the requirements to earn a Bachelor of Science degree prior to completing the doctor of chiropractic degree. Those students received the BS degree at commencement, and will continue working toward a DC degree.
A total of 22 students graduated in a ceremony in the Northwestern Health Sciences University auditorium. Graduating students Taylor N. Morisette, School of Massage Therapy, and Jessica R. Kuhlman, College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, gave the student greeting. Commencement speakers were James R. Hulbert, Ph.D., associate professor; and Michael Egan M.A.O.M., Dipl.O.M., L.Ac., alumnus, adjunct faculty member and clinic supervisor.
