Northeast College of Health Sciences faculty member Peter G. Nickless, DC, PhD, an expert in sports nutrition, has published a book, “Sports Nutrition for Masters Athletes.”
Available through Wiley, the book offers essential guidance for athletes 35 and older looking to optimize their performance and overall health, noted a Northeast College press release.
Drawing from cutting-edge research and his decades of experience in sports nutrition, education and working with athletes, Nickless provides practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to the unique needs of older athletes. The book explores key topics such as fueling for endurance, maintaining muscle mass and recovering effectively after exercise—all with the goal of empowering older athletes to achieve peak performance.
The author’s background
Nickless brings an impressive background to this book, including a doctorate in chiropractic, a PhD, a master’s degree in applied clinical nutrition, several other master’s degrees and years of teaching, research and consulting in sports nutrition and health sciences.
He has been instrumental in advancing Northeast College’s online offerings, including a master of science degree program in applied clinical nutrition.
