Increase your metabolism with raspberry ketones

Chiropractic Economics Staff February 22, 2013

By Karen Appold

rasp225Raspberry ketones are enzymes found only in raspberries. Although people have eaten raspberries for centuries as a way to deal with a variety of health disorders, the enzymes were only discovered recently.

Raspberry ketones give your metabolism a boost and consequently promote weight loss, especially when consumed in conjunction with a well-balanced diet and regular exercise. Metabolism is the process of converting food into energy. The faster your metabolism runs, the more food it will convert into energy. If your metabolism burns all of the food you have eaten, it will look to find more food to burn as energy. That’s when you will begin to burn away stored fat.

The recommended dose of a raspberry ketones nutritional supplement is 100 milligrams (mg) per day. Take it every morning before eating breakfast. You may experience weight loss within one week. In order to achieve similar results from eating whole raspberries, you would have to eat 90 pounds of them.

Choose Wisely

There are many products made with raspberry ketones; most are in the form of diet pills made from enzymes taken from raspberries. Be sure to choose a 100 percent natural product to get the full effect and avoid harmful side effects of artificial ingredients.

There is no risk of side effects if you purchase raspberry ketones extracted from 100 percent natural raspberries, unless you are allergic to raspberries themselves.

To increase the effectiveness of raspberry ketones, mix them with other pills or juices made with African mango, Acai berry or other natural weight loss products.

Other Benefits

In addition to boosting your metabolism, raspberry ketones contain antioxidants that will rid your body of toxins and free radicals. As an antioxidant, raspberry ketones can help to prevent the formation of cancer cells.
