Roanoke, Va. — On Feb. 28, a collaborative partnership was announced between Foot Levelers, the world’s leading provider of hand-crafted custom orthotics, and Women Chiropractors (WDC), a not-for-profit professional organization dedicated to raising up women leaders in the chiropractic profession. In support of these aspirations, Foot Levelers formalized the relationship on Feb. 14, 2019, and has made a $100,000 donation to help WDC expand its resources.

“This partnership comes at an important time: within the next 10 years, it’s estimated half of all Chiropractors will be women,” says Kent S. Greenawalt, CEO, Foot Levelers. “The growth of the WDC is remarkable, and we are very excited to partner with this outstanding organization. Our entire team will work toward helping the organization to further empower female doctors in chiropractic technique, leadership roles, educational opportunities, and practical growth. Ultimately, this will help to improve chiropractic care at a time when drug-free pain treatment options are in high demand.”

WDC currently has more than 7,400 members in 58 countries. The organization is open to female chiropractors and female chiropractic students. WDC provides resources that include scholarships, educational seminars, leadership opportunities, networking platforms and an online virtual academy launching in April 2019.

According to a 2012 article published in The Journal of Chiropractic Education, 60 percent of chiropractic patients are women. Additionally, research shows 78 percent of women consider themselves as the primary health care decision maker in their household.

Cyndy Shaft-Toll, DC, WDC founder, says, “WDC connects caring, compassionate, confident and charitable chiropractors. We know that many female patients prefer to see doctors with whom they feel a connection. Together, we are committed to keeping our minds and hearts open, elevating women chiropractors and students by encouraging growth and igniting the change we all want to see in the world.”

Shaft-Toll added: “Foot Levelers’ generosity will help our organization provide resources to raise up women leaders in the chiropractic profession. This long-term partnership will help our grassroots organization grow stronger. Foot Levelers shares our commitment and passion in supporting this altruistic endeavor, and furthering our position as a safe, sacred, non-judgmental community for female chiropractors.”

Foot Levelers has a long history of supporting the chiropractic profession. The company has opened several chiropractic health centers and educational campus buildings, funded chiropractic research studies, established college scholarships for aspiring DCs, and more. Foot Levelers also hosts hundreds of educational seminars and free webinars each year, all aimed at supporting chiropractors.

“We all know chiropractic is the answer to so many issues,” concludes Greenawalt. “That’s why it’s vital to support chiropractors in several ways. We are honored to have this relationship with the WDC and look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
