Report shows slip in physician compensation

Chiropractic Economics April 28, 2012

April 28, 2012 — According to a recent report released by medical news outlet Medscape Today, U.S. physicians earned less income this year than they did last year.

The report, which surveyed 24,216 U.S. physicians across 25 specialty areas (chiropractic was not included), shows that physician income in general declined last year while the annual income for specialty physicians remained the same.

The report also shows the salary gap between male and female physicians, and highlights specific areas where this gap is narrowing. Read on…
