August 28, 2011 — The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a national education call regarding Medicare’s implementation of HIPAA Version 5010 on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 2:00-3:30p.m. EST. Chiropractors and other doctors who electronically submit claims are required to upgrade to HIPAA version 5010 by Jan. 1, 2012.
This national call includes a Medicare 5010 status update and brief status updates from all Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs). In addition, a thorough question and answer session will follow, providing participants the opportunity to ask their MAC specific questions related to 5010 implementation. To register, click here.
