Health concerns farther up the kinetic chain

The feet are the foundation of the body. While 99 percent of all feet are normal at birth, 8 percent develop troubles by age 1, 41 percent at age 5, and 80 percent by age 20. By age 40, nearly everyone has a foot condition of some sort. Many conditions start in the feet, but eventually contribute to health concerns farther up the kinetic chain, such as in the spine. Custom orthotics can help preserve the body’s optimal foot-spine connection.
The most common mistake DCs make with marketing
March 8, 2017
Marketing Matters | It is amazing to see how the more things change, the more they remain the same. When it comes to marketing, there have been astounding changes in how and when you communicate with your patients and the public about chiropractic. Who knew that someday DCs could completely avoid newspaper ads, Yellow Pages ads, direct mailers, and postcards to reach patients. Or that there would be more devices connecting people than there are people. If you don’t believe it, look at the devices you use every day. Chances are good you have a smartphone, a tablet, and a computer.
Why veterinary chiropractic should be bigger than it is
March 8, 2017
According to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), approximately 36.5 percent of U.S. households own a dog. In addition, 30.4 percent have a cat, and 1.5 percent have at least one horse, if not more. This equates to more than 148 million pet owners for these three categories alone.. That’s why some chiropractors have decided to expand upon their practice by offering diagnostic and treatment services for the furry and not-so-furry companions that have worked their way into our hearts and homes.

[Video] Can your chiropractor kill you?
March 7, 2017
The recent media coverage, particularly on the Dr. Oz show, exacerbates myths about chiropractic care by exploring the unfortunate events with YouTube blogger Katie May. She died from vertebral artery dissection and many are blaming chiropractic care as the culprit. As a media trainer for some 20 years, I've heard from hundreds of chiropractors across the U.S. deeply upset by these headlines. Appropriately so. It's inaccurate misinformation feeding into unsubstantiated fear. While this media crisis may not have been prevented, it could have had a much smaller impact on the credibility of the chiropractic industry as a whole.
