Logan names new VP of academic affairs

Chiropractic Economics August 14, 2008

August 14, 2008 — Logan College of Chiropractic announced that George T. White, EdD, will take over as the new vice president for academic affairs, beginning October 1, 2008. Dr. White joins Logan from Montana State University-Billings where he is interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.

“The opportunity to work for one of the premier chiropractic universities in the world is both humbling and exciting.  I am honored to have the opportunity to represent the respected faculty and staff and the outstanding students of Logan University as the next vice president of academic affairs,” Dr. White said

Before joining the administration at Montana State University, Dr. White spent eight years at the University of Tennessee-Martin as an associate professor and chair of health and human performance, associate dean and director of graduate programs, and interim dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Prior to this time, he was an associate professor at Clemson University where he established and coordinated programs in coaching education, health education, and physical education.

Dr. White has also served as an accreditation evaluator for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and has co-authored a number of articles for academic publications.

Dr. White holds a bachelor of science degree in health and physical education, and chemistry education from the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where he also earned a master of science in health and education and counseling.  He also holds a doctor of education degree from the University of Arkansas.
