The vice chancellor for institutional advancement is responsible for providing leadership in the strategic planning and execution of Palmer College of Chiropractic programs and initiatives related to alumni relations and fundraising. This executive also builds public and business awareness of the College and how it benefits its local communities and the chiropractic profession.

“We’re thrilled to secure Barbara for this ground-breaking administrative position,” said Trevor Ireland, DC, Palmer Board of Trustees chairman “Her background makes her a powerful addition to Palmer’s executive administrative team.”

Along with her experience at the foundation, Melbourne brings with her more than three decades of experience, including more than 21 years of planned- and major-gift experience in higher education and social services, including previous work at Augustana College, UCLA, and Penn State University.

She holds a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Creighton University,

“Barb’s extensive skills in fundraising make her a perfect fit for our administrative team,” saidDennis Marchiori, DC, PhD, and Palmer’s chancellor “She’s the first to fill this role and we think she’s just the right person to take us where we need to go.”
