More than 200 DCs and their teams from 78 cities across Virginia came together at the Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association (UVCA) Fall Convention, where several UVCA awards were presented and directors were elected.
The event, held Sept. 20-22 at the historic Williamsburg Lodge and themed “Connect With History,” featured an immersive blend of inspirational, clinical and practice management sessions on the science and principles of chiropractic, according to a Sept. 26 UVCA press release.
The education program spotlighted innovative approaches in clinically-focused classes for DCs led by nationally renowned experts on sports chiropractic, neurology, mitochondrial health, sacro-occipital technique and the vestibular system. The program also included patient-centered topics geared toward chiropractic assistants (CAs) and the newest laser technologies to advance patient care.
In his convention keynote address, speaker Jack Bourla, DC, ACP, President of Sherman College of Chiropractic in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, challenged DCs to be impeccable in their commitment to serving patients through being bold, masterful and confident while keeping chiropractic pure.
