Chiropractic Economics Staff July 14, 2016

July 13, 2016 – Due to their ongoing commitment to academic excellence, University of Western States, Portland, OR has been selected to receive over $45,000 of MR4 laser devices from Multi Radiance Medical, Inc. These devices will be used in their patient clinics and classrooms.  Multi Radiance has long been a valued corporate partner of chiropractic institutions that fulfill a mission of providing world-class education to qualified students.

Using equipment with advanced technology and functionality will assist University of Western States to offer superior patient outcomes as well as educate their students to innovative, highly researched and clinically substantive practice of low level laser therapy, or photobiomodulation.

Brian Fitzpatrick, DC and Robin Schumacher, director of continuing education and sponsored programs with Multi Radiance Medical will be visiting the UWS, May 2016.  Their visit will include education on lasers and tissue interaction along with lab work demonstrating the device.  They will visit three clinics and present to 100+ students and clinicians.

Joseph Pfeifer, vice president of Clinic Affairs, University of Western States said, “At the University of Western States, our use of Multi Radiance Medical MR4 laser devices in the Health Centers of UWS has been well-received by clinicians, students, and patients for the management of pain and facilitation of healing.  Our collaboration with MRM has benefited clinical education and patient care at UWS.”
