The Vitality Depot helps make your floor space profitable

Chiropractic Economics December 8, 2011

TVD-PR_Vitality_Depot_and_Smarl_Through_Program_Dec_2012_3_1December 8, 2011 — The Vitality Depot’s Smart Step Mat Premiere Sell Through Program provides clinics with a 30 percent discount on mats that they sell to their patients or local businesses, allowing them the opportunity to earn hundreds of dollars each year.

The program is available to eligible clinics who purchase two 6-foot mats. Participating clinics receive a free 36-inch demo Home Collection mat as well as display materials and customized brochures.

Smart Step anti-fatigue mats are commonly placed alongside clinical tables and work stations where chiropractors stand for as long as eight to 10 hours each day. The ¾-inch thick mats provide comfort and help reduce back and leg pain.

OSHA has cited more than 100 ergonomic reports that recommend the use of anti-fatigue mats such as the Smart Step Healthcare. The incidence of musculoskeletal disorders of the low back, legs, and feet are often contributed to prolonged standing on hard flooring, and anti-fatigue mats are strongly encouraged for the benefit of the employee and the economic savings for the employer.

“Doctors often forget to take care of their own bodies,” explains Dr. Mark Mandell, a third generation chiropractor and CEO of The Vitality Depot. “Chiropactors are doing physical work, often requiring prolonged standing. The use of the Smart Step mats next to the treatment tables can significantly help reduce fatigue and pain in the lower back and extremities.”

“We introduced the Sell Through Program for the healthcare market, because when patients see their doctors using Smart Step mats, they are validated and often want to get one for themselves,” continues Mandell. “The Vitality Depot offers a Home version of the mat that patients can order for themselves. It’s good health and good business.”
