Event safety guidelines see return of world-renowned conference in Orlando at The National by FCA
The “World’s Largest Event for Chiropractic” in Orlando, Fla., lived up to its billing Aug. 26–29 as the Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA) once again hosted the gathering which has grown over time to become known as The National by FCA.
More than 2,300 in-person attendees, joined by another 270 virtual participants, came together for four days of continuing education and practice-building seminars presented by more than 70 world-renowned chiropractic speakers, researchers, experts and motivators. This year’s event once again included the world’s top chiropractic expo with 320 exhibits showcasing the very latest in chiropractic products, services and technology. But what truly set this event apart was the FCA’s attention to detail in providing the same quality and energy as in the past, yet all with social distancing and under the latest U.S. Event Safety Guidelines.
Vendors and attendees alike shared their delight at being able to gather safely in person. The Hyatt Regency Orlando brought back hundreds of veteran employees to facilitate this event, and they performed flawlessly.
The premier event for chiropractic has remained attractive for all as it now includes a new hybrid format for education and exposition for chiropractors, staff, students, notable speakers and exhibitors. While the event was socially distanced, attendees still enjoyed the powerful energy and all the benefits they are accustomed to: 100+ hours of CEs to choose from, internationally recognized speakers, various tracks and specialties, a 300+ booth expo and more. With the continuation of The National by FCA and a full virtual exposition and educational program, classmates were enabled to engage with live learning from their home base.
One attendee shared, “I have been teaching remotely since March of last year and the FCA did just as well as the university I teach for in delivery of virtual and remote courses. Thank you!”
Dose of reality
As a top meeting hub for the industry, The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) chose The National by FCA to present an opening panel symposium, Dose of Reality, during which Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, who signed the Florida resolution designating September as Drug-Free Pain Management Awareness Month, spoke with compassion and promise for a future of drug-free pain management solutions where appropriate.
All were inspired and this opening educational session ignited great applause. F4CP and FCA would like to thank AG Moody for her leadership in addressing the current opioid crisis within Florida and nationwide.
Industry leaders and organizations
Due to its size, scope and popularity, this annual FCA-sponsored event has likewise become a gathering force for a wide variety of chiropractic leaders and organizations.
F4CP, The Summit, the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, the Chiropractic Congress, the Association of Chiropractic Colleges, and the American Chiropractic Association all met at The National to discuss the latest trends and topics and to chart their courses for the coming year.
“The National is a focal point that engages stakeholders and leaders from every aspect of the chiropractic industry and provides connections and content that can’t be found anywhere else,” said Jeremy Gordon, DC and FCA president. “Even with social distancing, the energy and impact are here.”
Whether in-person or virtual, The National by FCA provides each attendee a personal and custom experience that can’t be found anywhere else. This is the top reason attendees cite for coming year after year and why this event continues to stand strong, even in these times of challenge.
