Reading Time: 2 minutes August 25, 2010 — With the dramatic shifts in U.S. healthcare and the ever-growing trend toward self-directed healthcare decisions aligning perfectly with their chiropractic care clinic model, The Joint Corp., a leading franchisor of chiropractic clinics today announced plans to dramatically expand their number of operating clinics.
With financial backing from Austin, Texas based Business Ventures Corp (BVC) and the recent addition of two key franchising experts to the organization, The Joint Corp. is now positioned to grow from its 15 existing locations (with nine in development) to more than 1,500 open clinics in the next decade.
Joining the organization are franchising veterans John Leonesio, founder and CEO of Massage Envy, and Todd Welker, founder and CEO of Nothing But Noodles. They join The Joint Corp. as chief executive officer and chief operating officer, respectively.
“I feel The Joint is predestined to succeed,” said Leonesio. “Making the benefits of quality chiropractic care both extremely affordable and convenient to the millions of American’s who need it can’t happen fast enough. Our standardized model clinic is ideal for brand awareness and rapid growth through franchising. We believe it will set a new benchmark in the industry for clients and for chiropractors who will both benefit from its ability to deliver the highest standard of care simply and inexpensively.”
Welker agree: “With smart pricing, a commitment to best practices, and attending to the fundamentals of franchising and customer service, it’s reasonable to expect The Joint Corporation to be the one to watch in industry for the next decade. No question.”
With the backing of BVC and the additions of Leonesio and Welker, The Joint Corp. now has a full development team with expertise in finance, real estate, operations, marketing, training, and sales.
To hasten expansion, The Joint Corp. will be opening a corporate clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz. in September 2010. The Joint plans on opening 40 new clinics by the end of the 2010.
The Joint now has clinics in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
