October 10, 2012 — Texas Chiropractic College recently announced that it has chosen Future Health eConnect as its new clinic EHR/practice management software.
The college expects to go live with the software in 2013.
“From the beginning, it was clear that Future Health truly understands the chiropractic college setting,” said Texas Chiropractic College Provost Clay McDonald, DC. “They’ve developed specialized functionality and workflow for the needs of a college, its faculty and student interns.”
McDonald added, “Future Health provided an extremely detailed implementation plan. They’re the experts when it comes to EHR software for chiropractic colleges. They’ve done this before … they know the intricacies required to get a college clinic up and running with an EHR system.”
According to Dean of Clinics Barry Wiese, DC, MSHA, technology was also a key factor in the school’s decision. Said Wiese, “When we reviewed various EHR and practice management software, nothing compared to Future Health as far as current technology.”
President Richard Brassard, DC, looks forward to providing an unmatched clinic experience for students. “With the addition of Future Health’s EHR software to our clinic, we’ll not only improve faculty efficiency in monitoring student interns and provide exceptional student experiences, but also continue our tradition of graduating first-class doctors of chiropractic.”
“The Future Health team could not be more proud to serve Texas Chiropractic College and its faculty, students, and patients,” said Future Health Founder and CEO Steven Kraus, DC, DIBCN, CCSP, FASA, FICC. “We look forward to helping TCC prepare future Doctors of Chiropractic for the modern healthcare delivery system.”
“We’re particularly proud of the fact that Future Health provides the sole EHR solution in seven of the chiropractic colleges,” said Kraus. “The future success of our profession depends on the new generation of DCs. We understand the importance of our role and responsibility in delivering compliant yet functional solutions in the complex world of documentation, CCE, HIPAA and other government regulations.”
