Terry R. Yochum, DC, is presented with the Parker Lifetime Achievement Award

Chiropractic Economics Staff February 7, 2012

Dr_YochumRedBlazer1February 7, 2012 — Terry R. Yochum, DC, is honored to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2012 Parker Seminars Las Vegas for his significant contributions to the chiropractic profession.

Yochum, director of Rocky Mountain Chiropractic Radiological Center in Denver is a distinguished leader in the profession with an expertise in radiology.

Yochum’s best-known contribution is the publication of his textbooks, Essentials of Skeletal Radiology, which is a required text in radiology at all chiropractic institutions and a referenced textbook in over 100 medical schools worldwide.

“I am very proud of my books because they broke the barrier for other chiropractic authors to publish text books in their areas of expertise,” said Yochum.  “However, recently, I am very privileged to have done the commencement address at Logan [College of Chiropractic University Programs], where my daughter, Alicia Marie Yochum graduated Summa Cum Laude and third in her class. She is a third generation chiropractor in my family and will start her radiology residency at Logan in April, 2012.”

Among his achievements as a chiropractor, author, and proud father, Yochum is also an accomplished speaker for Foot Levelers. Chiropractors can attend his seminars this year, where he has teamed up with Dr. Tim Maggs to discuss how to evaluate high school athletes.

“From our seminar, chiropractors can learn how to evaluate highly motivated college and high school athletes from a clinical and imaging perspective, such as X-rays or the use of MRIs,” explained Yochum. “It is important to learn when it is safe for these athletes to participate or when they should rest.”
