TCC names Brad McKechnie, DC, as interim president

Chiropractic Economics Staff April 18, 2014

McKechnie_BradApril 18, 2014 — Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) announced Brad McKechnie, DC, DACN, as the college’s interim president.

McKechnie’s appointment comes on the heels of an announcement by R. Fred Zuker, PhD, that he would step down as the college’s interim president for health reasons, a position he held for seven months.

As interim president, McKechnie will oversee the day-to-day operations of the college. After graduating from TCC in 1985, he served as a faculty member from 1986 to 1996 including various administrative roles as the Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Dean of External Affairs.

“I am excited to be a part of TCC’s future,” said McKechnie. “Texas Chiropractic College has some of the best students, staff and faculty in chiropractic education and I look forward to working with them every day.”

Not only is McKechnie and alum of TCC, but until stepping down for his appointment as interim president this week, he was also a member the TCC Board of Regents since 2009.

In his nearly 30 years of practice, McKechnie has been the recipient of many national and state-wide honors including acceptance as a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors and Young Chiropractor of the Year by the Texas Chiropractic Association.

He has served on several medical advisory committees, been witness in a lawsuit between the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners, been a neurology columnist for Dynamic Chiropractic, served on the Neuromusculoskeletal Exam Test committee for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and taught over 300 postgraduate seminars all over the country.
