March 17, 2012 — The U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled three days of oral arguments on the landmark Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) to be held March 26-28.
The combined six hours worth of hearings is the most time given to a single topic in 44 years. The court will hear arguments from both sides regarding the individual mandate, the expansion of Medicaid, and hundreds of other provisions.
A final decision from the court is expected by early July, and will undoubtedly have an impact on the 2012 presidential race.
