Spenco Medical introduces new sandal line

Chiropractic Economics February 25, 2011

February 25, 2011 — Spenco Medical, an independently held manufacturer of footcare and healthcare products, launched several new products in its Total Support Sandal line.

The new additions include three different styles — the Yumi, the Kholo and the Fusion — all designed to provide relief for a variety of foot-related issues, including plantar fasciitis, shin splints, Achilles tendonitis, heel, arch, ankle, knee, and hip pain.

Perfect for everything from lounging around to the most active lifestyle, the Spenco Total Support Sandal line is inspired by the Spenco PolySorb Total Support Insole design. The doctor-recommended line is known for its support and stability as it improves gait control and relieves foot pain. With spring and summer approaching, there is a strong need for supportive sandals.

Sandals without proper support can even make some foot problems worse. The new designs combine orthotic quality arch and heel support and consumer demand for a variety of styles, bridging the gap between function and fashion.

“There was a growing need for a comfortable sandal that could be worn casually,” said Ryan Cruthirds, vice president of footcare for Spenco Medical. “Our two new slide products have the same comfort consumers have come to rely on from Spenco, but we’ve gone a step further to design a variety of attractive styles to make them fashion forward. Not only will your feet feel good — they’ll look good too.”

For Spring 2011, the Yumi, has been updated to include new colors and the Kholo and Fusion will meet the long-needed consumer request for a slide sandal. The Yumi and Kholo products offer relief and reliable comfort that Spenco is known for, and both styles help secure the foot onto the foot bed to help alleviate foot pain.

The Fusion is the most lightweight of the new line and is made purely from EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate). The three new products help reduce pronation and supination while absorbing shock.

All styles are available for both men and woman in a variety of color combinations and sizes.
