SCUHS affiliates with Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy

Chiropractic Economics June 5, 2008

June 5, 2008 — Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) has become affiliated with Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy (WIN Therapy), provider of a nationally recognized massage therapy program. 

 

This partnership expands the educational offerings of SCU in the field of complementary and alternative medicine by featuring WIN Therapy’s 1,000-hour certificate program that encompasses in-depth courses in relaxation therapy as well as clinical treatment. The comprehensive massage education provided by WIN Therapy focuses on preparing massage therapists to skillfully apply neuromuscular therapy and other techniques that deliver physiological effects beneficial to all of the systems of the body.

 

The partnership also brings WIN Therapy into a university setting, providing students with access to all of the services and academic resources of the SCU campus.  Students are now able to learn the scientific basis for massage techniques that are effective for relief from pain and symptoms of a wide range of conditions, illnesses and injuries.
