December 17, 2013 — Retired Brig. Gen. Becky Halstead, spokesperson for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), will sign copies of her new book, 24/7: The First Person You Must Lead is YOU, at the Knowledge Bar at Parker Seminars Las Vegas. The signing will take place Jan. 9, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST.
“Chiropractic changed my life, and now I am able to share my real-life experiences in the military and civilian life to inspire others to first learn to lead themselves in order to lead others more effectively,” says Halstead, who will share her insights during F4CP’s session, The Ultimate Catch, Jan. 9, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. “I’m pleased to be part of the Parker 2014 seminar series, Leadership: Inspiring the Future, and to lead efforts to raise awareness about the significant health benefits of chiropractic.”
The first female Commanding General in U.S. military history to lead at the strategic level in combat, Halstead was forced into early retirement by her battle with fibromyalgia. Chiropractic improved her joint motion, eliminated her fatigue, and positively impacted her emotional and mental fitness.
In her book, Halstead outlines her five fundamental leadership truths and principles based on a lifetime of leadership lessons, from playing sports in high school to taking responsibility for more than 20,000 soldiers and civilians in combat.
“I look forward to sharing with the chiropractic community how I have built highly successful teams in demanding environments and stressful situations both on and off the battlefield,” Halstead adds.
