ChiroSpring’s innovative patient flow process maximizes efficiency

Chiropractic Economics May 16, 2014

180462622May 23, 2014 — Busy chiropractic clinics rely on efficient process management software to smoothly get their patients checked in, seen by a doctor and checked out in a speedy manner. Helping doctors to maximize this efficiency, ChiroSpring utilizes an innovative, one-of-a-kind patient flow process to ensure both patients and doctors are making the most of their time.

“ChiroSpring’s patient flow process is uniquely designed to advance patients through the appointment process as simply and easily as possible,” ChiroSpring CEO Brian Albery said. “Chiropractors and staff members can instantly identify the status of every patient, both on the calendar and on the front desk.”

The complete EHR software tracks a patient’s status through the entire appointment. From the initial scheduling of the patient’s visit, the software checks in a patient with the click of the mouse (or tap of the finger, as ChiroSpring is fully touch-capable). Clinic staff can then easily update a patient’s information from the front desk screen if needed, and then a doctor can mark the patient as received and create the patient’s SOAP note. Once a patient has been treated, the doctor updates the patient’s status to “Awaiting Checkout,” allowing the clinic’s staff to complete the check out process.

ChiroSpring also includes a full cash register application, allowing staff to ring-up the necessary charges, and add any additional products, as well.

“Because ChiroSpring is Cloud-based, everything happens on every computer in real time. It’s a seamless process,” Albery said.

“Simplicity and convenience for chiropractors drive the design of every portion of ChiroSpring,” he added. “During the creation of the SOAP, we give our doctors the opportunity to leave a message specifically for the clinic staff to view during patient checkout. This allows for any suggestions or reminders for the patient to get rescheduled before they leave. It’s a simple feature but incredibly beneficial to both doctors and patients for helping to improve wellness.”

ChiroSpring completes the patient flow process by allowing a patient to schedule future visits directly from the cash register at checkout. And before leaving the clinic, every patient receives a unique and valuable receipt generated by the software. Beyond the standard payment and balance information, this receipt also displays patient discharge instructions, diagnosis, the individual’s treatment plan and future appointment information.

An efficient patient flow process saves valuable time for doctors, clinic staff and patients, and ChiroSpring practice management software maximizes simplicity and functionality to keep busy chiropractic clinics operating at peak performance.
