Pro-Tec Athletics releases Y Roller for deep tissue massage

Chiropractic Economics Staff September 26, 2012

966928September 26, 2012 — Pro-Tec Athletics recently announced the release of its newest product in the massage category, the Y Roller. This foam roller is unlike any other foam roller on the market and continues to push the boundaries for how athletes can better their performance.

Made of elastomer; a durable, hygienic, high density foam, the Y Roller provides users with the option of a targeted aggressive massage as well as a more moderate, less intense massage.

Pro-Tec’s Y Roller was designed to allow users the option to target specific areas of tightness or soreness with defined ridges. By beginning on the dual ridges and slowly rolling onto the single ridge, the defined edges dig into soft tissue to help relax the muscle. Dual and single ridges can be used to target the IT Band, calves, hamstrings, quadriceps, back, etc. The design also allows athletes to roll on their back in between the ridges so not to cause discomfort to the spine.

The Y Roller comes with an instructional manual that guides users through different levels of exercises, allowing a customizable routine.

The foam roller market has expanded from elite athletes, to walkers and athletes of all sports. As the foam roller phenomenon continues to develop, Pro-Tec has created a design that allows athlete’s the option to customize their massage and workout routine.
