Performance Health supports evidence-based practice with 15th Annual Research Meeting

TRAC2013August 30, 2013 — Twenty-five research projects, with findings ranging from sports performance and exercise prescription to neck and elbow pain treatments, were presented at the 15th annual Performance Health Scientific Advisory Committee meeting (known as TRAC) held Aug. 1-4, 2013 in Moscow, Russia.

Seventeen multidisciplinary researchers, educators, and clinicians met to present and discuss research on Thera-Band and Biofreeze products. The diverse group represented six countries and seven different professional disciplines, including physical therapy, massage therapy, athletic training, strength and conditioning, exercise physiology, chiropractic, and epidemiology.

“In addition to the significant body of research presented in Moscow, our TRAC members have published 31 papers and abstracts, including 11 collaborative projects over the past 12 months,” stated Phil Page, PhD, director of clinical education and research for Performance Health. “This group fully exemplifies the commitment of Performance Health to research and education over the past 15 years.”
