Parker University has launched a rebuild campaign after numerous tornadoes swept through the Dallas campus on Sunday night, Oct. 20, 2019, damaging buildings and closing the campus for repair until Oct. 28.
“While much of the campus was damaged, our clinic sustained only minor damage,” said Parker University President William E. Morgan, DC. “The Synapse Human Performance Center is totally intact. I expect those clinics to be operational within a week or two depending on when power is restored.
“While we have closed the campus due to safety concerns, we are preparing to have classroom space available in the very near future. Some of the classrooms may be temporarily off campus. Parker has a strong online presence and will increase the percentage of online classes and support systems as we repair our campus buildings.”
No students or faculty were injured. A grand re-opening is targeted for Monday, Oct. 28, which will include on-ground classes.
