Parker University massage therapists work with UFL teams

Chiropractic Economics Staff August 1, 2025

Parker University Massage Therapy Program

The Parker University Massage Therapy program has an Athletic Recovery Massage team that recently completed its inaugural season working with two United Football League (UFL) teams.

San Antonio Brahmas and Arlington Renegades players were the recipients of weekly recovery massage sessions provided by the Parker University School of Massage Therapy Alumni and staff.

How Parker University massage therapy graduates work with athletes

Upon completing the program, Parker University Massage Therapy alumni have the opportunity to work with professional athletes.  Parker University is also a supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and a sponsor of the Texoma Football Club.

During their time obtaining a massage therapy certificate through Parker University, students learn how the power of touch transforms lives by relieving pain, reducing stress and promoting overall well-being. Small on-campus class sizes, diverse techniques and exclusive internships prepare students for seamless entry into the field. With a balanced approach to wellness, students develop these vital skills while acquiring the business knowledge necessary to launch a well-rounded, successful career. This certificate program is also offered in a dual-language format (Spanish and English), making it accessible to even more future massage therapists.

“The Parker University Alumni Athletic Massage Team is proud to have completed the 2025 UFL season working with the San Antonio Brahmas and the Arlington Renegades. This was an amazing opportunity for our Massage Therapy Alumni,” said Parker University Massage Therapy Program Director Gregory May. “Special thanks to Sam Lopez, the Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Brahmas, and Dr. Mike Walker, the Athletic Trainer for the Renegades, for helping us provide the recovery sessions to allow these athletes to perform optimally. We look forward to growing alongside the UFL, continuing our affiliations, expanding our services and reaching even more UFL teams next season.”
