Parents, community concerned about weight of backpacks

Chiropractic Economics May 7, 2010

May 7, 2010 — A May 4 article in the Buffalo News begins “Maybe you’re a parent or family member who has picked up a child’s backpack — only to be staggered by its heft.”

The article, “Be Well in WNY: Easing the Backpack Burden,” goes on to describe the muscular imbalances and other spinal issues that are caused by overly heavy backpacks and offers advice from Hamburg, N.Y. chiropractor George A. Lisjak of Universal Chiropractic on how to counteract the problem. Read the full article here.
