Palmer College of Chiropractic and William Penn University sign 3+1 agreement

Chiropractic Economics September 26, 2018

September 26, 2018 – William Penn University (WPU) in Oskaloosa, Iowa signed an agreement with Palmer College of Chiropractic (PCC) in Davenport, Iowa, allowing qualified students the opportunity to save a year’s worth of time and money while earning their undergraduate and graduate degrees. It’s designed to meet the educational goals of William Penn University students who exemplify strong academic credentials and a commitment to pursue graduate education.

The 3+1 program allows students pursuing a career in chiropractic to enroll in William Penn’s biology program. After completing a minimum of 90 credits of study at WPU, students can then transfer to Palmer College to begin their chiropractic education.

After completing the first year of study at Palmer College, a maximum of 30 Palmer credit hours are transferred toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at William Penn. This agreement allows students to also participate in commencement ceremonies at both WPU and PCC.

“This partnership with Palmer Chiropractic College offers our students a wonderful opportunity to advance their careers in health care with a highly respected professional program,” said Noel Stahle, vice president for academic affairs at WPU.

This program initiative aligns with the U.S. Department Education’s appeal to reduce the overall cost of education. To see a list of all 48 of Palmer’s 3+1 agreements, see: http://www.palmer.edu/admissions/prerequisites/educational-agreement-program/.
