NUHS receives key accreditation for its new St. Petersburg DC program

Chiropractic Economics April 30, 2009

April 30, 2009 — The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) has granted approval for National University of Health Sciences’ (NUHS) Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine program offered through the University Partnership Center at St. Petersburg College (SPC), in Pinellas County, Florida.

The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools may be contacted at 30 N. LaSalle, Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois, 60602-2504, or 800-621-7440.

The NUHS-St. Petersburg DC program is scheduled to welcome its first incoming class in September of 2009. Students may also start their degree program in either January or May of 2010. DC students at the NUHS-St. Petersburg campus will receive the same high quality academic and clinical curriculum offered at National’s main campus located in Lombard, Illinois. Under the partnership agreement, NUHS will utilize SPC’s campus and facilities to offer the degree.

“We’re very pleased to announce this accreditation, which is one of several successful milestones we’ve crossed in bringing National’s DC program to Florida,” says President James Winterstein of NUHS.

NUHS is currently accepting applications for admission to its St. Petersburg DC program online at www.nuhs.edu, or through its Admissions Office in Lombard at 800-826-6285.
