Northwestern Health Sciences University well represented at NCLC

Chiropractic Economics Staff February 14, 2012

February 14, 2012 — Northwestern Health Sciences University will be represented by a group of students, administrators, and doctors of chiropractic at the National Chiropractic Legislative Conference (NCLC) in Washington, D.C. Feb. 15-19. A delegation of 36 students along with Dr. Mark Zeigler, Dr. Renee DeVries, Dr. Michele Maiers, and three practicing Minnesota doctors of chiropractic will attend on behalf of the university.

According to Carly Yaeger, president of the Student American Chiropractic Association at Northwestern, their lobbying efforts will focus on a student loan repayment program; expanding chiropractic access in VA facilities; and making chiropractic benefits available for veterans and dependents of active military personnel.

“It’s a great experience!” says Yaeger. “This will be my third NCLC and I look forward to it every year. It offers an opportunity for you to make a difference in the profession and protect your future patients’ rights to have access to the best chiropractic care.”

NCLC is the premier chiropractic legislative event for doctors of chiropractic, student doctors, chiropractic assistants, and industry professionals. The 2012 theme is The Power of Cultural Authority: Staying Essential in Healthcare Reform, covering information on new opportunities in Medicare, military and veteran’s health care and other federal initiatives.
