Dennis Sparkman of Progressive Laboratories receives ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

Chiropractic Economics Staff June 18, 2014

06.18.14_Sparkman_mugJune 18, 2014 — Progressive Laboratories Inc., a supplier of science-based, therapeutic potency nutritional supplements to healthcare professionals for over 40 years, is proud to announce that Dennis Sparkman, Ph.D., RA, CQE, director of quality, has completed the requirements to be named an ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, or ASQ SSGB.

As such, Sparkman has reached a “significant level of professional recognition, indicating a proficiency in and a comprehension of Six Sigma principles and practices,” according to ASQ.

“ASQ provides certification as a way to provide formal recognition to professionals who have demonstrated an understanding of, and a commitment to, quality techniques and practices in their job and career,” Stephen Hacker, ASQ chair, said.

In order to sit for the Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) exam, an individual must have three years of work experience related to the Body of Knowledge. SSGBs apply tools and techniques from the DMAIC model (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control) while working on Six Sigma projects under the supervision of a Black Belt.

The ASQ SSGB Certification complements other quality-related certifications Sparkman has received, including:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
  • RAPS Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
