November 12, 2011 — Northwestern Health Sciences University recently launched a new website. All the elements are completely new and within the next few months the last remaining remnants of the old site will also have the same contemporary look.
The site was planned with the visitor in mind — especially prospective students — complete with intuitive navigation and fresh photography designed to showcase what Northwestern has to offer. It’s rich with information about the university’s academic programs and showcases the scope and quality of research conducted in the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies.
There are also new resources available for clinic patients as well as Northwestern’s alumni, faculty, and staff. An extensive virtual tour gives a live-action glimpse of what students can expect when they enroll at Northwestern.
The project was lead by Monika Brady, Web services manager, who explains that, “we didn’t set out to simply update our current site. We knew we wanted to reflect the culture of our institution and the quality of the people who work together here and are committed to excellence.”
Northwestern’s President, Dr. Mark Zeigler, agrees. “Our aspiration to be the university of choice for natural and integrative healthcare is reflected in our new website and reaching this milestone is cause for celebration. It was a team effort that reached into every corner of our campus and I’m very proud of what they’ve accomplished.”
The human effort and resources that went into creating the site is a story in itself, best captured on the “About this Site” page. Take a few moments to explore the site, and read how it all came about. And don’t forget to send us your feedback!
