Northwestern event part of Starkey gala

Chiropractic Economics June 12, 2008

June 12, 2008 — The “ultimate bass fishing event” at Northwestern Health Sciences University is now doing double-duty. In addition to serving as a major fundraising event for the school, it is also a sponsor of the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s 8th Annual ‘So the World May Hear’ Awards Gala.

The “Ultimate Bass Challenge” will be June 13 on Lake Minnetonka. The fishing tournament features professionals Mark Fisher, Dean and Ted Capra, Scott Bonnema, and Brad Liefeman.

The Starkey gala is an annual fundraising event for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. This year’s gala on June 14 features performers Pat Benetar, Neil Giraldo, and Jon McLaughlin. The Starkey Foundation is national non-profit program that provides assistance to deaf and hard-of-hearing persons with limited financial resources within the United States and abroad.
