On April 14, Northeast College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls, New York, announced the construction of new integrated learning spaces designed to enhance hands-on healthcare education.
The project, located on the school’s Seneca Falls campus and expected to open for classes in January 2026, will include two large, flexible classrooms and six simulated assessment and treatment rooms that replicate modern clinical settings.
“These new spaces are an exciting next step in Northeast College’s commitment to preparing practice-ready healthcare professionals,” said Northeast College President Michael Mestan, DC, EdD. “By creating environments where students can apply their knowledge in simulated, real-world scenarios, we’re providing them with critical hands-on experience—in a safe, supportive setting—long before they ever step into a clinic or hospital.”
Multidisciplinary spaces
The spaces will support various health sciences programs, including the Doctor of Chiropractic, A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Massage Therapy certificate programs. They will also serve as a cornerstone for the proposed Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree, a six-trimester, 24-month hybrid program combining online coursework with in-person training.
This project will complement Northeast College’s existing technology-rich learning facilities, including the Anatomy Center, which features a human cadaver lab, and the Computerized Anatomy Resource Lab (CARL), which contains Anatomage 3D visualization and dissection tables.
Flexible design for future growth
Christopher McQueeney, vice president of administrative services, said the spaces are designed with flexibility and future growth in mind.
“We’re building learning environments that can adapt to the changing landscape of healthcare education,” McQueeney said. “Our students will learn, practice and refine their skills using advanced technology and simulated clinical environments that closely mirror what they’ll experience in their professional careers.”
“As the need for highly skilled healthcare providers continues to grow, Northeast College is leading the way in delivering transformative education,” Mestan added. “These integrated learning spaces represent our mission in action—preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders to deliver exceptional care in an ever-changing world.”
