December 19, 2013 — New York Chiropractic College held its commencement exercises in the Standard Process Health and Fitness Center Dec. 7, conferring degrees to 101 Doctors of Chiropractic. The event also marked the first commencement where 24 graduates of NYCC’s Bachelor of Professional Studies program were recognized.
Congressman Thomas W. Reed II, delivered the commencement address while Student Government Association President Nicholas Maio served as the student body speaker. Drawing upon revelatory moments in his life, Congressman Reed urged the graduates to “never give up” and to take appropriate risks.
“Don’t take the easy path, don’t cut corners, but rather take the long term path — the right path — and you will be successful,” he counseled.
