Logan University opens Clinic with Family Care Health Centers

Chiropractic Economics Staff December 3, 2015

Logan University opened its first clinic in collaboration with Family Care Health Centers (FCHC) at the University’s Southfield Chiropractic Health Center in St. Louis.logan-university-logo

The Logan Chiropractic Community Outreach Clinic is accepting patients referred through FCHC, a federally qualified community healthcare provider with locations in St. Louis’ Carondelet and Forest Park Southeast neighborhoods.

“FCHC was looking for ways to provide chiropractic services to meet the varying needs of their patients when they approached us,” said Barry Wiese, DC, MHA, director of integrated health centers at Logan University. “We are thrilled to offer a service to those without access to natural treatment of chronic pain.”

Alex Gafford, DC, who graduated from Logan in April 2004, will oversee treatment of all patients in the clinic. Gafford said he looks forward to helping the underserved. “FCHC is a great organization, and I think this kind of collaboration is positive for the future of both organizations,” he said.

The Logan Chiropractic Community Outreach Clinic will provide a range of chiropractic services treating pain associated with low back, shoulders, knees and feet, among others. The clinic is serving patients from noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
