Logan University hires new VP of enrollment management

Chiropractic Economics Staff December 23, 2025

John Massena of Logan University

Logan University has hired John Massena as Vice President of Enrollment Management.

Massena brings more than 20 years of experience leading enrollment growth, marketing strategy and student-centered recruitment initiatives across public and private higher education institutions.

Throughout his career, noted a Logan press release, Massena has built and led cross-functional enrollment teams, managed multi-million-dollar budgets and partnered closely with marketing, admissions, financial aid and advising to drive meaningful, measurable results. His work has produced record-setting application growth, expanded access for first-generation and underrepresented students, strengthened retention outcomes and improved transparent, family-centered cost and financial aid communications.

Most recently, Massena served in a national leadership and consulting role at Liaison, working with colleges and universities to develop data-informed recruitment, marketing and enrollment strategies. Prior to that, he spent several years with Ruffalo Noel Levitz (RNL), partnering with institutions across the US to design and implement strategic enrollment plans, outreach campaigns and operational improvements focused on sustainable growth and student success.

Massena has also held senior campus leadership positions at institutions including the University of Montana, Webster University and Greenville University, where his teams set enrollment records while strengthening community partnerships and enhancing the overall student experience.

At Logan, Massena will serve on the President’s Cabinet and oversee Admissions, Marketing and Financial Aid. He is focused on building a collaborative, mission-driven enrollment operation that blends marketing, personalized recruitment, and thoughtful use of analytics to best serve students and families while supporting Logan’s growth goals.

Massena lives in the St. Louis area with his wife, Mary, and their daughters.
