Standard Process Introduces ‘GI Adsorb’ to Support Gastrointestinal (GI) Health and Normal Elimination

Chiropractic Economics Staff December 1, 2021

Standard Process®, a leading whole food-based nutritional supplement company based in Wisconsin, has introduced GI Adsorb — a new product that is formulated to support gastrointestinal (GI) health, a healthy gut barrier, and normal elimination.

GI Adsorb can play a role in the body’s response to harmful compounds from naturally occurring toxins that are introduced to the body

Standard Process®, a leading whole food-based nutritional supplement company based in Wisconsin, has introduced GI Adsorb — a new product that is formulated to support gastrointestinal (GI) health, a healthy gut barrier, and normal elimination.* It works well alongside detoxification and purification programs, or as a stand-alone product to aid the body’s natural toxin elimination functions.

“Of everything that is consumed — nutrients, vitamins, and minerals are mostly thought of as the substances that help body systems operate at its best,” said Weston Bussler Ph.D., nutrition scientist at Standard Process.  “However, components that can help facilitate elimination from the body are also greatly important. This is where we see benefits from adsorbent substances like clinoptilolite.”

GI Adsorb contains G-PUR®: a purified, high-quality clinoptilolite. Clinoptilolite is a zeolite mineral that ensures a strong adsorbent property; adsorbents (not to be confused with absorbent) are materials capable of trapping certain substances to their surface or within pores, shielding them from interactions in a biological or chemical system. GI Adsorb also contains Collinsonia Root, which has been historically used to support proper elimination and digestive health*.

By helping support the gut lining and normal elimination, GI Adsorb can play a role in the body’s response to harmful compounds from naturally occurring toxins that are introduced to the body through a variety of means. These can come from the water we drink, the food we eat, the microbes that live in our GI, and the substances that populate our daily lives.

“It’s an important product that contains a powerful adsorbent and whole food-based ingredients to assist the body as it naturally eliminates toxins,” said Dr. Bussler. “It’s intended to provide patients the support they need in order to promote optimal wellness.”

GI Adsorb — along with all other Standard Process products — is available for purchase at standardprocess.com
