February 13, 2014 — Gaia Herbs announced the appointment of Wendy Warner, MD, ABIHM, to their scientific advisory board. Warner is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and also in integrative holistic medicine.
A nationally known lecturer and teacher, Warner is the past president of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM); and has served on its board of directors for a decade, helping to certify thousands of physicians in integrative holistic medicine.
Warner is the founder and director of Medicine In Balance LCC, in suburban Philadelphia where she provides integrative holistic women’s health services as well as integrative medical consultations to women, men, and teens. She is also the past medical director of the Holistic Medicine Center at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa.
Warner was a featured guest on the Dr. Oz Show to discuss a functional medicine approach to menopause. As a thought-leader in integrative medicine, she has been quoted in popular publications including Ladies Home Journal, Woman’s Day and others. She is the author of Boosting Your Immunity for Dummies (March 2103) and contributed to a chapter in the Textbook of Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
“We are extremely proud and fortunate to have Dr. Warner as a member of our Scientific Advisory Board,” said Ric Scalzo, Gaia founder and CEO. “Her vast experience in integrative holistic medicine, women’s health, and autoimmune conditions, brings a wealth of clinical experience that aligns with Gaia’s belief in traditional herbal medicine and the synergistic link between people and plants.”
