On December 17, Foot Levelers made a substantial donation to The Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter, soup kitchen and more serving Foot Levelers’ hometown of Roanoke, Virginia and surrounding areas.
All told, the company gave the Mission 16 turkeys weighing 15 pounds each, 20 pounds of hamburger and 49 of Foot Levelers’ signature therapeutic pillows to help with housing and feeding the homeless over the holidays.
“In business, as in life, it’s important to give back,” said Kent S. Greenawalt, Chairman and CEO of Foot
Levelers. “Supporting organizations like The Rescue Mission is critical so that they can continue to focus on a real humanitarian and community need: helping the less fortunate. Donations are certainly
meaningful during the holidays, but I encourage folks to keep in mind that they’re just as needed year
round.”
Foot Levelers is a strong supporter of its community, country, and of Chiropractic, the profession it serves. The company gives significantly to Chiropractic colleges and research projects around the world each year. Foot Levelers is also the main financial supporter of The Blue Ridge Marathon, which takes place each April in Roanoke and benefits the Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway non-profit. In times of crisis like post-Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA, the company proudly raised over $600,000 toward relief and rebuilding.
