The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) has appointed former Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus President, Peter Martin, DC, FPAC, to its board of directors.
Martin was president of Palmer West in California from 1992 to 2000, when he accepted a position as dean of the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport. He returned to Palmer West in 2004 as interim president and was named president in February 2005. In July 2005, he assumed the additional duties of president of Palmer’s Florida Campus in Port Orange. Since 2006, he served exclusively as president of Palmer Florida.
Martin is a 1968 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and a 1964 graduate of the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy, London. Prior to his appointment at Palmer West, he was in the private practice of chiropractic in
Lancaster, Calif., and served as President of the California Chiropractic Association in 1988-1989. He also served as a member of the Board of Chiropractic Examiners in California following his term of office in the CCA. The Florida Chiropractic Association named him 2014 Chiropractor of the Year.
